1.1 We are Shiftshack Limited a Scottish registered company (number SC342790) and having our registered office at 1 Law Place, Nerston Mains, East Kilbride, G74 4QQ.

2. What's the point of this policy?
2.1 The idea is that we tell you how we deal with your "personal data". (This is the technical term for information about any identified or identifiable living person). Please read on to find out what kinds of personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, to whom we disclose it and how you can access and rectify it.
2.2 We want you to feel comfortable with what we do. So much so that we don't agree to you using our site or registering as a member unless you are completely happy with this policy. If you do, we'll assume that you do accept the policy.
3. Might the policy change?
3.1 It may well do and so you should check it whenever you visit our site. We'll assume you agree to the revised policy if you use the site or register as a member after the effective date shown at the top of the policy.
4. What personal or other data do we collect?
4.1 We collect and store the information which you enter into forms on our site, for example when you register as a member on our site (eg your name, post code, contact details, date of birth), post a profile, enter search criteria, participate in surveys or contests or the like, or communicate with other members via our site. You may opt out of providing any such information by simply choosing not to complete the relevant form but certain information is compulsory if you want to use a particular part of our services.
4.2 Certain of the information which you voluntarily provide may constitute "sensitive data" eg by revealing your nationality and country of residence. By providing such data you specifically consent to our processing it in accordance with the policy.
4.3 We may also collect personal information which you provide us when communicating with us in some other way eg by email.
4.4 We may receive and store certain information automatically when you interact with us. 5. What about cookies?
5.1 Like many websites we use cookies (or may do so in future). 6. How do we use your personal data?
6.1 We use your personal data to enable us to provide our services eg matching members to prospective job opportunities, processing payments or to send you service-related messages such as confirmation emails and other messages concerning your relationship with us. Such messages may include newsletters, special offers and commercial messages related to our service.
6.2 We use your personal data to help us communicate with you effectively should you try to contact us via our site including verification of any claims you may make.
6.3 We may use cookies, IP addresses or personal data to recognize you when you visit or return to our site so we can show you content tailored to your preferences, to track anonymised traffic, demographic and usage patterns, to prevent or detect fraud or abuses or to help us improve our site.

7. How do we protect personal data?
7.1 Security is a high priority. We take precautions to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
7.2 Your personal data is stored on secure dedicated database servers using 128 bit SSL technology. We also maintain physical and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personal data.
7.3 Our banking partner also uses 128 bit SSL technology to encrypt credit card transactions.
8. To whom do we disclose personal data?
8.1 We do not disclose any personal data to third parties except insofar as we say so below.
8.2 We may allow access to your personal data by third parties who supply us with a service - for the purpose of their service only. Examples include payment providers and businesses which assist us in undertaking communications or monitoring our site.
8.3 Certain information which certain members (i.e.workers) voluntarily provide such as restricted aspects of profiles and search criteria is made available to other members (i.e. employers) or users of our site or services. (All of this of course excludes contact details and payment data provided which are not disclosed to other members or users.)
8.4 We may disclose personal data so far as reasonably necessary:
8.4.1 if we think you have or may have breached our terms and conditions or to enforce our rights or protect the public or where if we are required to do so by law or appropriate authority; or
8.4.2 in the case of an actual or proposed (including negotiations for a) sale or merger or business combination involving of all or the relevant part of our business or in the case of an insolvency.
8.5 We may share your information with any other companies within our group for the purposes stated in this privacy policy.
8.6 We will take reasonable steps to require that third parties to whom we transfer any personal data will agree to provide sufficient protection. We may store or transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area for the purposes stated in this policy.
